5th July – Training day on what makes urban children’s work unique. Led by Kathryn Copsey, founder member of CURBS materials. (children in urban situations). Day booked at St Martin’s Centre in Byker. Cost to be confirmed.

A Festival of fun and worship for children aged 5-11, with their group leaders or families. Discover Saints then and now through a plethora of activities: craft, puzzles, movement, trails, music, art. How can we be Saints for today? The Festival finishes with a short time of interactive worship with live music. Cost: £1.50/person (under 5s free). Cormorants
October 25-November 1, Norfolk Broads
A Christian Sailing Holiday on the Norfolk Broads for young people aged 11-16. Sailing from Horning, the group will live and eat on board the 10 yachts, supported by a motor cruiser as base and supply vessel. Young people do not need to know how to sail beforehand – they are welcome to learn throughout the holiday experience. Likewise they do not need to be churchgoers, though some who come will be. Some evenings are spent together exploring the Christian faith informally, others are spent in fun activities in local village halls. The Commodore, Revd Charles Hall, has 25 years experience leading Christian Holiday Cruises; skippers are qualified and CRB checked.
