Play and Pray through Lent
This material gives you a resource not only for one Lent and Easter season but for three years, covering all three years of the Revised Common Lectionary. The material is aimed at 5-7's and offers a way to link the gospel readings to the world of the children for the six weeks of lent and Holy week itself. Based on the increasingly popular method of Godly Play it offers a song for each week, a prayer, and story cloth activities to inspire wondering in play and prayer. £9.99
Colours of Easter
Those of you familiar with CURBS (Children in Urban Situations) will know that they have produced a number of highly successful packs to use with children. Although these are written for children in an urban setting we have heard of many churches in all kinds of locations who find this material excellent. This 'pack', now produced in book format by BRF explores the Easter story through colour, sound and light. It can be used as a resource for many different groups - sunday groups, holiday clubs, and easter workshops. £9.99
The Story of Easter
'It does what is says on the tin', which just means it does tell the story of Easter. The text is very well written in an engaging style but the pictures are rather too traditional for my taste. That's not to say it is not beautiful artwork but some may consider it a little disengaging for children and perhaps more focussed at visualising the story the way an adult was taught to years ago. Still a good buy in hardback for £6.99.
Open the door
Another wonderful book written by Vicki Howie, this time along with Moira McLean. The book tells the Easter story in a very informal way with bright and colourful pictures and a door to open in each page. This book is an ideal bedtime read with younger children and is sure to be a firm favourite. £6.99

Easter Cracked
This is a fantastic compendium of tried and tested material as well as new ideas. Containing a range of services, activities, craft, and drama, it also has ways of exploring Easter with children in local schools, enabling children to meditate on the Easter story, as well as talks written my many of MethodistChildren's friends!
This is a book that you will get many years use out of and is worth the £8.99.
